It all really began for me back in June 08′

The ah-ha moment that got me to where I am today…

Working from the comfort of my home, around my family. No JOB to go to…just my office down the hall instead.

Frustrated from years of rejection trying to build my business offline. Knowing there had to be a better way!…I took a plunge and decided to take my business building efforts online…armed only with the Knowledge that what I needed would come.

I began by doing several searches via Google on ‘lead generation’, I came across an ad for Mike Dillards book Magnetic Sponsoring. I grabbed a copy and after going over it several times, (I know, I’m a slow learner …with highlighter in hand …it hit me! That light bulb moment when I realized the concept and the power of his ‘funded proposal’. Along with many more insightful tips, I understood one crucial task that must be mastered in order to run any successful business online…and that is…Marketing!

As I was now an affiliate, I began marketing the capture pages capture the information of other interested Network Marketers, the system would then do it’s job of selling them the Magnetic Sponsoring book!…while I called them to see if I could offer any assistance.

Now, I don’t mind telling you, it worked like a charm! I started generating leads and commissions from the sale of not only   Magnetic Sponsoring but also, Building On A Budget book and the subsequent course MLM Traffic Formula. Ok, I can almost hear you say!…
”Great tactics, that’s all well and good Mr Varlow…but I don’t have a LIST. I don’t have any names to import into Aweber. I’m not generating any prospects…how do I build a list?…marketing’s hard!…I don’t have the Money to market!”

Do’s this sound like you?
Have you really spent ages trying to learn how to market without success?, or have you tried a few things and decided its all way to hard? Let’s change your perception of the whole ‘marketing’ thing!…what about we call it ADVERTISING? Kind of takes the mystique out of it, doesn’t it? If you had a traditional brick and mortar business, you’d advertise to get customers/clients/patients/etc, wouldn’t you?

Without advertising, how can your business expect to make a profit. The exact same thing applies for any home based business with an Internet presence. Unless you’ve got some form of  advertising pointing to your site, your not going to get any prospects. So, stop worrying about this dreaded word marketing, we’re now calling it advertising. Just start by taking baby steps, master one thing at a time, then diversify your advertising over time.

Now that we’ve demystified it, lets have a look at what a list really is. It’s just a list of information about people who have requested information from you about your product, service or opportunity. They’ve entered their info into your landing page, or ‘capture page’, and now you have their information. I guess you realize by now that your ‘landing page’ plays a BIG roll in all of this, yes? It’s imperative that you capture the information of visitors so you can follow up with them FOREVER.

Remember what I said about sending traffic to your corporate information site, or your sales page first? It just doesn’t work!… and you’ll convert very few of these people and waste a lot of time and effort as they’ll quickly click away from your site.
I’ll say it one more time!…Direct all of your traffic to a page that Captures their information!…BEFORE you send them to your actual company/sales page! Do not overlook this crucial step! I’ll be covering landing pages in more detail in a future post. For now, lets focus on traffic.

You will find many Free Advertising methods and much more inside my Marketing Training Site,  don’t doubt for one minute that these methods work. Simply get to work! Be consistent and persistent- and go make some $$$!
