Ok, now that you have begun collecting the names & email addresses and perhaps phone numbers of interested prospects, ask yourself this!…who is in control off that list? If your answer is that they are in your companies back office or system data base, you may need to re-assess this strategy.

“Some free advice” - KEEP YOUR LIST IN YOUR OWN AUTORESPONDER!

Let me paint an unfortunate little scenario that happened to me on two separate occasions. Some years ago, I was actively working two programs using my companies site to store my leads with no way of contacting those leads unless I picked up the phone. I subsequently left those opportunities only to leave the lists behind. BIG MISTAKE!!  I had spent considerable time, money and effort to generate these leads, only to see them be harvested, worked or quite possibly sold by my old company.

In September of 2008 I began using  Awebers Autoresponder Service by  importing every lead I  generated into this system. Over the following 5 months I have been making a steady stream of income from those leads by sending them a series of follow-up email messages. I don’t hit them over the head with my opportunity, I simply let them know of things that are working for me and just add my contact info and opportunity URL in the signature line. WOW! I had been hearing how the fortune was in the follow-up and they were right!

Since then, every lead I generate go’s straight into my Aweber autoresponder from any capture page I use. This little task translates into literally thousands of dollars!

One thing you need to be clear on, if you are generating leads and they are in a company back office, THEY ARE YOURS! You should be putting them into your autoresponder and following up with them forever or until they opt out. Let me tell you, if I had all the names and info of every lead I’ve ever generated over the years, I’d already be driving my Range Rover Sports!

One last thing, I don’t mean you should go out and purchase lead lists and import those into your autoresponder. Your account will get shut down. You have no idea how those names were generated or how old they are. Don’t take the risk…keep your list clean!

Right, you have now consolidated your list into one place, so whats next? How do we treat this list?…With T.L.C. :-)   See Sponsoring Blueprints Issue #7
